After Nikon closed two lens factories in Japan back in 2021, there is a new report from Japan that Nikon is building a new lens factory worth 30 billion yen in Tochigi (more info on Tochigi Nikon is available here and here). The new facility will produce lenses for microscopes, cameras, and semiconductor equipment and is aiming for 26 years of operation.
