11-9-2023:
Panasonic Japan leaked additional LUMIX G9II camera pictures and specifications:
- LUMIX G9II combines a newly developed 25.2MP Live MOS sensor, phase detection AF, and the latest image processing engine to faithfully preserve precious moments forever.
- The first phase detection hybrid AF in the LUMIX G series enables quick and accurate continuous shooting, and the highly evolved AF of the LUMIX G9II is also compatible with extreme sports, wildlife, cars and motorcycles.
- When using the electronic shutter, AF-C supports continuous shooting at 60fps (75fps when using AF-S), and continuous shooting for up to about 3 seconds, all while looking through the viewfinder. Furthermore, if you use the pre-continuous shooting function of LUMIXG9II, you can go back in time and take pictures.
- You can record photos and videos with the desired color gradation by applying LUT.
- 8.0 stops of BIS eliminates blur even with slow shutter speeds in low light. 5-axis dual IS2 with 7.5 stops provides powerful depiction stability even in the telephoto range.
- You can capture decisive moments in slow-motion video (C4K/4K 10-bit 120p/100p).
- The 8-way joystick allows you to intuitively select the focus area.
- The monitor is 1.84 million dots, tilt + vari-angle.
- The EVF is a 3.68 million dot organic EL.
Together with the LUMIX G9II camera, on September 13 Panasonic will also announce two revised Leica DG Vario-Elmarit zoom lenses –
- Leica DG Vario-Elmarit 35-100mm f/2.8 Power O.I.S
- Leica DG Vario-Elmarit 100-400mm f/4.0-6.3 II ASPH Power O.I.S. – replacement for the current model (it will now work with a teleconverter and achieves an image scale of 1:2)
